This piece is special. It was created in a small mountain village in the high mountains of Portugal. I made it using local clay that contains many small stones. The textures is carved by hand. It's glazed inside and partially outside.

The vase was fired for three days in the Sasukenei Smokeless Kiln using wood. The appearance of the glaze on the vase is different from every angle due to the magic of the wood firing. Wood burnt to ash and then flew around the kiln, settling on the surface and creating these greenish hues.

Every carving is made by hand.
